Biography

Deli Peng received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Dalian University of Technology in 2016 and his Doctor of Engineering degree from Tsinghua University in 2021. From 2021 to 2024, he conducted research as a postdoctoral fellow and associate researcher at the Institute of Superlubricity Technology, Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen, where he held the positions of Assistant Director and Deputy Director. In 2025, he joined the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School as an Assistant Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, and Special Research Fellow.

His primary research interests include fabrication and regulation of superlubric material, design and manufacturing of sliding micro/nano devices, science and technology of zero friction and zero wear and interfacial mechanics and atomic manufacturing of low-dimensional materials. He has published papers in Physical Review Letters, PNAS, National Science Review, Nature Communications, and Nano Letters, among other journals. He currently leads one subproject of the Ministry of Science and Technology's Key R&D Program, one Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation general project, and one Shenzhen Excellent Talent Training Project. He also serves as a reviewer for journals such as Nano Letters.
